There are millions of Americans who can not afford beach front property or a Harley Davidson. So what! I worked my ass off for mine, so can they.

Nurses are the “most trusted professionals”.

We try.

These people merely hijacked nurses.

Like the NEA has hijacked hard-working teachers.

Nurses in California need to flood these imbeciles with mail, phone calls...and above all pull out of the union.

My experience is the unions look out for the union, NOT nurses. Which is why some 95% of nurses don’t belong to a union, at least here in Georgia and ZERO where I work now.

I guess the union just wants nurses to have the same kind of compensation packages that they have in socialist countries.

Hint: There’s a reason medical professionals from Europe come here to work. The average nurse in the UK makes less than half of what they make here.

"USA Today's 'On Politics' Blog Reports: Newspaper ads published yesterday in Iowa said Vice President Cheney would "probably be dead by now" from his multiple heart attacks if he didn't have federally funded health care that most American's can't get."

That is stupid on the basis that Cheney is a multi-millionaire who could afford whatever he needed, not to mention Halliburton, etc would provide hospitalization.

“One can start by pointing out how national health care is a miserable failure everywhere it is practiced.”

Unless you have no health care in which case it’s much better.

How about a businessman.

Okay, so he's a "businessman". Whatever. The point is that he can afford to pay for his health care if he needs to. Right?

He's a multi-millionaire, and can probably afford any health care he needs.

WHAT an idiot! Cheney could pay for whatever care he wants/needs....course, then he’s considered RICH, and, well, we know what the Unions think of the RICH!!! This hag things we ALL should be TAXED to pay for Everyone, including rich people’s health care.

There’s a big disconnect in most people’s minds when it comes to health CARE and health INSURANCE. They are two totally different things.

I don’t have health insurance, but I do have health care, simply because I’ve opted to pay for my health care as I need it and the freedom to choose the type I want.

These headlines that say however many thousand or million without health care are stupid. They mean that they are without health insurance, but when they use the term “health care” it pulls at people’s heart strings because it indicates there are poor sickly people without any medical help whatsoever. And that’s just not true.

Do these idiots realize the Cheney is independently wealthy and if unemployed would be self insured? He gets the best care because of his job and his wealth. He earned both.

The liberals are always in a “state of fear.” That’s how they ramrod their unwanted nanny programs through congress. Fear-mongering. There has been a steady effort to destroy the US healthcare system since Clintons rose to power. They couldn’t get the people to vote for national healthcare, so, they over-regulated the health insurance industry by forcing employers to provide levels of health-insurance that most people never bought. Now, we pay more and receive less. Typical liberal solution.

How can these RN's get through school and be this stupid? Have they never heard of private insurance? I'd be willing to wager these union cretins have better insurance than I do. And that they wouldn't deign to "accept" the government run health care that they would inflict on the little people.

Yours was in scrubs? I chauffered my cousin to an outpatient appointment at his cardiology clinic last month and the person who came in to take his vitals was a grossly overweight gum-chewing woman in a flowered tunic and pink trousers, with long dirty stringy hair and noticeable body odor. At ten in the morning. If it hadn’t been for the clipboard I’d have rung for security.

What doesn’t make sense to me is why they would advocate for socialized health care? Payments to the health care provider are whatever the government decides to set, not what the market value is. Wouldn’t this drive the nurses’ pay downwards? It’s the same way that I can’t understand why labor unions want illegal immigration.
