My son is one of them. He enlisted in the Army Reserve and will report to Ft. Sill on January 9th for basic training. He’s both looking forward to it and a little scared. That’s to be expected, but I know he will do well. Since we only live a short drive from Ft. Sill my wife and I will attend his graduation parade. It will be easy to spot me in the stands, I’ll be the Dad with no buttons on his shirt!!

Daughter #2’s boyfriend got back from Basic and AIT a couple of weeks ago. He gets to do a little home town recruiting until he has to report for his next duty assignment in TX.

They had a DVD produced about their basic training cycle. It was rather cute and brought back a lot of memories. The CS chamber still gets the snot and eyes flowing, red faces and gagging. :-) , Ahh, remembering the good ol’ days.
