FReepers hate all the Republican candidates, and this is how they express themselves. All hate, all the time. I’m weary of it. I’m not voting for Hucakbee, but am not going to act like these FR/DUers and call Republican candidates names. Very childish. Very DU. It’s getting old.

Well said.

What many folks don't realize is that a person reveals far more about HIMSELF in the way he criticizes someone or something -- than he does about the target of his criticism.

Ronald Reagan was very much an adult in emotional maturity and not solely in chronological age. And his 11th Commandment was an adult policy.

Americans have the right to hold opinions of their own choosing and voice their views. Apparently, they also have the right to act like spoiled two-year olds. (Having raised several kids, I recognize the behaviors.)

Hugh Hewitt owes the people of California an apology for his support of Schwarzenegger.

You hit the nail on the head as to why I'm so angry at the GOP. Rudy McRomnabee is Schwarzenegger all over again... and some of us predicted rightly what would result the last time.

Once again, we are sweeping the conservative candidate we purport to want to the side in favor of electability. I'm sick to death of it.

Hmmmmm...you mean like some FReepers' setting their own bar on a candidate's conservative purity in order to fit their small-minded views?

What would be the point (i.e., the benefit gained) of voting for a candidate whose public policy positions are repugnant to me?

I wonder what would have happened if Romney was a Muslim, and Huckabee asked something about that.

I know what you were thinking: it was PAT ROBERTSON, then a Democrat, who endorsed GA Jimmuh in 1976.

He’s better than Gray Davis ...

False. Schwarzenegger has accelerated growth in spending beyond that of Davis (and with less excuse), increased total State debt, growth in bureaucracy, regulation, and signed more gay friendly legislation than Davis ever dared.

Just look at what State debt service has done since he was elected:

Besides which, IMO he's the most talented liar since Clinton, and like him, a crook to boot.

Huckabee is NOT using the opportunity to invoke Mitt Romney. IN FACT the article notes that Mike Huckabee does not invoke Mitt Romney's name the entire time the discussion is being had.

Right. It was the merest coincidence that the NY Times and Hucksterbee just happened to have been having an innocent discussion about Mormonism, and the fact that his primary competition, whom the Slimes fears, is Mormon, had nothing to do with it.

I'm not sure which I dislike more about this punk McCullough kid--the fact that he smears and lies, or the fact that he insults our intelligence by acting as if he thinks we will fall for his drool.

Maybe Huck should just shut up about other people’s religion. Does he not realize he is running for the leader of the free world

No, he's been busy sucking up to NYTimes hacks all week and he just hasn't had time to keep up with breaking news.

Huckabee knew full well what he was saying and who he was saying it to.

Absolutely he did. Hickabee is the worst stereotype of the mean-spirited small town Snopes come to life. He springs full size from the pages of a Faulkner novel. And that ain't good.

As many conservatives as possible throughout the U.S. truly need to see that Mike Huckabee isn’t really as conservative on all of the issues as many people presently think that he is! Mike Huckabee can indirectly help Hillary Clinton become the next POTUS and also help create long-term socialism throughout the U.S., thanks to President Hillary Clinton and a Democratic Congressional super-majority!

baptistic type denominations....(those that practice “believer’s only baptism”)

I don't really know much about these "baptistic type denominations"...aren't they the ones who handle snakes, dance themselves into a frenzy and babble gibberish until they fall from exhaustion? I got nothing against them mind you...just askin' an innocent question...

Hugh Hewitt lost me utterly with his sycophancy for Mitt the Malleable.

Hewitt claims to be a great Republican, yet choses MITT!!??

-Mitt is a liar.

-Mitt ran his state like a moderate liberal.

-Mitt has no guiding conservative principles.

And THESE are the qualities of a guy a supposedly strong Republican like Hewitt wants in a candidate?

Worse, Hewitt then goes out of his way to slander and attack EVERY Republican that doesn’t line up in lockstep behind himself and Romney.

Hewitt is done. He simply has no credibility left.

You’re thinking of hyper-pentecostalism. Their focus is more what they call “Holy Ghost baptism.”
