In an official LDS Church Manual, Church President Joseph F. Smith told LDS parents they should use the above diagram to explain to their children how Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. Daddy plus Mommy equals you; Heavenly Father plus Mary equals Jesus. (Family Home Evening Manual, p. 125-6, 1972) BUT...But.....it isn't CANON. Waiting for that howl....10...9....8......

What is your point? Derision? I find your comments to be quite good at that. Pointless but derisive.

We do not disguise our teachings. You seem to be good at twisting things around as in your last paragraph.

What is your point? The POINT, in case you are too dense to catch it, is that when something is posted from a source like Family Home Evening Manual, p. 125-6, 1972 that doesn't fit the present template being pushed here, within minutes some mormon is hollering, "It isn't CANON". As though that wipes out 50 years of teaching this in "Family Home Evenings".
BTW, what makes you think you hold the patent on derision?

I don’t. You seem to.
I am not hollering anything about canon and a teaching aid. You seem to try to force every word any Mormon ever writes into being somehow doctrine. You probably even think that is doctrine because the Prophet Joseph Smith at sometime in his marriage to Emma asked her to get him a glass of water. You need to get over that. Jesus probably asked His mother for a cup of water at some point and that seems not to have made it into the Bible.

"I believe that none is saved without Jesus Christ, for he showed us the way and redeemed our souls."
See we do have areas of agreement. :-)
Of course I would say not that Jesus showed us the way (though that is true, too) but that he IS the way.

Can you rule your universe anyway you want to? That would be way cool!
If so, I'll think about converting.
Cult or not, I'd like to rule my own universe.

NOBODY, including your wife (unless she has forgotten what she was taught) honestly claims that Satan will become god over his own universeThat's not what I said. I said that mormons (and her as well at one time) believe that if they're good enough in this life (through good works)they will later become a god of their own universe. I said nothing about satan becoming god of his own universe.
FYI: That's the classification of ANY cult; that is they believe they will become God or become like God in some way.

Well, here is your quote: “they in fact believe and are currently taught that Jesus and Satan are brothers. ...Also that if they are good enough, they will become god over their own universe someday”
I guess your quote will have to stand as what you said unless you want to withdraw it.
