That’s how to do it - record ‘em and sue ‘em. Let the glorious members of the NEA foot the bill for their failure to teach.

I am so fed up with these lousy “teachers”. They should just go live in whatever country they like that believes the way they do.

Why didn’t the dad just go call the teacher out and teach him about being a Muslim or an atheist.

Then when the teacher got out of the hospital he might just have more respect for Christians.

“...The teacher is a representative of the state and the Constitution requires government neutrality toward religion,” she said. “This teacher’s conduct and words clearly show he is hostile toward religion and is indoctrinating these kids, who are a captive audience.” ..”

I agree with this statement...if just the mention of Christ in a public setting can set off these anti -Christian folks, how can they justify the constant put down in a government class room...however there will be plenty of defenders including the teachers union..

This is the stuff that Hannity tells kids to do. Get them on tape.

Too bad there aren’t other students taking this kid’s side in this one.

I once read it took 12 years and 645,000 to get rid of a union teacher molesting a student because the teachers union will do everything possible to protect the teacher and union.

This will be a long fight and result in money for the lawyers.

So it’s separation of church and state...unless you want to trash the church, then it’s okay. Got it.

“The teacher’s emphasis on religion offends me. I’d like religious discussions kept out of the classroom, but he keeps hammering the class on issues of faith. His dogmatic approach, and his brand of intolerance should not be allowed in a publicly-funded classroom.”

California’s democrat led legislators will be passing a law next year protecting the “free speech” of teachers in a classroom.

So....

Which side of this dispute do you think the ACLU will support?

Just kidding... I’m pretty sure I already know. ;^)

Humiliating Christians is on the agenda of the ACLU, the atheists, muslims, and the homosexuals. The sickos and whackos are setting the standard.

"students...feel ostracized and treated as second-class citizens"

That's because in academia you are ostracized, tested (no kidding - gay test and black test), and you are treated like a second class citizen. If you're Catholic or Christian you must be pro-life so the pro-choice Nazis come after you. You also must be stupid even if your GPA is a 3.0 or above (3.81 here but stupid).

You also must be a conservative... ouch won't even go into what these liberals Nazis do to conservatives including stealing, plagiarizing your work and turning it in as their own... and your professor looks the other way because you're a conservative.

And either do the whole project yourself or become part of a team of lazy liberals. Most don't do their work. You'll be doing the whole project anyway.

"so I sent him to school with a tape recorder." During the next two months he taped Corbett's lectures with the recorder in plain sight on his backpack.

And I suppose he'd tell us Christians are stupid too.

[Corbett] said that religion is not "connected with morality";

Any living thing, from a mouse on up to a human society, can withstand some insult and injury. This kind of thinking is injurious to our society. It often is not clear how much is fatal until after the line is crossed. We are not at the fatal point yet, but it could be that it can be seen from here.

Way back in the early ‘70s I had a wannabee with-it history teacher sophomore year of high school.

Part of the class was a study of religions. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam were all presented as glorious examples of spirituality.

Then came the discussion of Christianity. Suddenly this single religion was solely responsible for most of the evil in the world.

The neat thing was that the doofus had a policy of open discussion in class. (Being cool with the kids, ya know.) He also knew almost nothing about the religion he was trying to trash.

For three straight days I (and to a lesser extent another girl) disassembled him in class. Fourth day the class format changed to a lecture format for the rest of the semester.

For my final grade he gave me a D-. I challenged this and the three-person review board raised it to an A. Turned out I knew his subject a great deal better than he did.

He moved to another school the next year.

This guy went WAY too far. Your (public school) class should NOT be a platform for your personal religious beliefs, whether you are an atheist or a believer. It cuts both ways.

Capistrano Valley HS is one of the worst high schools in the country. I know because my daughter graduated from there. At the back to school meeting in ninth grade, I asked the teacher how she could justify 40% as a passing grade and she told us that all the smart kids took algebra in eighth grade. In her history class, the teacher used a projector to put notes on the board and left the room for most of the period, every day, and when he was in the room, he drank from a water bottle constantly. The kids suspected that it was vodka in the bottle. The next summer the teacher died of AIDS. When I complained that he wasn’t teaching the class, the principal took my daughter out of the class and put her in a special class with all the problem kids, where only about six kids showed up on any given day.

This school also falsified the test results for the standardized tests, by sending the kids who would not do well on the tests to the library and marking them absent. They used to require 100% attendance on test days, so that they would have the freedom to pick which kids would be marked absent.

But the most of the parents were ok with the way the school was run. The parents complained about the one good history teacher that they had in the school because he gave homework and essay tests, until they drove the man out of the school, even though he was tenured.
