McDermott is not a nice human being.
Congrats, Seattle. You want him, you got him.
Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, for what he deserves will be
done to him. O My people! Their oppressors are children, and WOMEN rule over
them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray and confuse the direction
of your paths. The LORD arises to contend, and stands to judge the people.
The LORD enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, It
is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the face of the poor?
Declares the Lord GOD of hosts. (Isaiah 3:9-15)
MCDIMWIT!!!
A Total Disgusting Putz, thats McD’s MO. :-)
Boehner’s attorney could start getting writs, seizing McDermott’s property to satisfy the judgment.
If McD owns a car, Boehner could have court officers seize it to sell it for partial payment of the judgment. If McD has a house or other real property, Boehner could slap a judgment lien on the property, then have it forceably sold out from under McD.
Ping! A sorry excuse for a human being.
Hillary and Kuchinich came out here this year helping the loser raise money for his defense. Some Microsoft or other liberal millionaire will probably pay the debt for him.
I wonder what his re-election percentage will be next year? He usually gets 70+%, he might top 80% this time.
Any word on what was in Pence’ mind?
Protest against the Ramadan resolution?
It all makes sense. He doesn’t have money to buy Christmas presents, so he’s grumpy.
Apparently, some in Congress could not make the vote (e.g., Steve King, R-Iowa), and it’s unclear from the article how much advance notice there was.
Who voted “present?” The article did not list them.
This was paraphrased only a little bit because I can’t remember the quote word for word. Amazing this creep still draws 88% percent of the vote in his very leftist district, no matter what he says.
WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP.
Everthing the elected theives get while in office is given to them by those seeking a favor (called buying their vote), tax payers are forced to provide them with or what they can steal.
i’m not sure which i find more silly, congress debating the importance of Christmas, or people wining about which way someone voted.
You might have a valid point if the “players” were different.
bump
In his district, he doesn’t need Felons and dead voters. This is the same district that proudly displays the Worlds only statue left standing of Vladimir Lenin. He has his 70+% regardless of how left he goes.
What a vile man McDammit is.
You said it. Did you know he claims to be a ‘Nam vet? Truth=He was a psychiatrist who debriefed returning servicemen in Long Beach. Scum of the Earth.
[ he didn’t have the money to pay the judgment to Rep John Boehner.]
Then he MUST be removed from the office so’s he can find a high paying job (drug runner for Obama??) to EARN enough $$ to comply with the court.
The Congresscritter-for-life can’t drive either. McDermott nearly ran into my car a few years ago as we were circling the Seattle Center. We were there to see a family friend get sworn in as a citizen at one of those Fourth of July mass ceremonies. Mickey-D was slated as a speaker.
Guess he thinks federal office gives him right-of-way when turning left. He gave me a red-faced scowl when I honked at him. I was all, “damn, that’s McDermott!”
LOL! Kinda wish you’d have hit your accelerator pedal rather than your horn.
Yet the wording in this House resolution reads"
DIWALI HR 747: "Acknowledges the onset of Diwali and expresses its deepest respect to Indian Americans and the Indian Diaspora throughout the world on this significant occasion."
(Approved 358-0)
It would make sense to honor our Native Americans = but I can't see that the Hindu religion is one significantly present in America for a recognition resolution to recognize it as one for observance here...
AS an aside:
WE could learn a lot from the words of our Original People - NOT from what others write, but from their actual words. One great source is the book: "Touch the Earth" a compilation of talks/speeches by Native American leaders and others from the early 1600's on. They were the Masters of tongue-in-cheek. Like Shakespeare's sullies and slanders, they could cut through the often asinine postulations of the whites with a gentle but solid rebuke, a smile on the face, and be long gone before the white person could realize they'd been told off.
Example of a great comeuppance to a brash young missionary sent to convert the 'heathens' = the great Senaca Chieftain, Red Jacket,(in what is now the area of Buffalo, NY,) greeted him with:
"Friend and Brother: It was the will of the Great Spirit that we should meet together this day. He orders all things, and has given us a fine day for his council. He has taken his garment from before the sun and caused it to shine with brightness upon us. For all these things we thank the Great Ruler, and Him ONLY....
"You say that you are sent to instruct us as how to worship the Great Spirit agreeable to his mind, and if we do not take hold of the religion which you white people teach, we shall be unhappy hereafter....
"Brother, you say that there is but one way to worship and serve the Great Spirit. If there is but one religion, why do you white people differ so much about it? Why not all agree, as you can all read the book? ...[Bible]
(Red Jacket explained how they believed, adding that it "teaches us to be thankful for all favors we receive; and to love each other and be united. WE never quarrel about religion, because it is a matter which concerns each man and the Great Spirit."
Concluding his talk, Red Jacket offered his hand in friendship, saying: "...we will come and take your hand, and hope the Great Spirit will protect you on your journey..."
The missionary refused to shake hands with this reply that there would be no fellowship with with the religion of God and the Devil.
Pomposity.
Another great Indian leader, (I don't know if this is in the book,) from the Seneca in the south, said: "Trouble no one about his religion.
"Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours.
"Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
...
"Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place.
"Show respect to all people, but grovel to none.
"When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength.
"Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
"If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
"Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
(Tecumseh (1768-1813) Shawnee Chief)
Todays politicians - and many FREEPERS could take heed...
He makes Tom Udall (our token RAT) look good.
...elections have consequences....
and it sure does appear that a majority of the people who vote in McDermott's district are as shameless and traitorous as he is....
its embarrassing.

Say WA? Evergreen State ping
FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this ping list.
Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.
Unfortunately the rest of us here in The People’s Soviet of Washington “got” him too...;’{
McDermott could go to the left of Hugo Chavez and still be not as far left as 70% of those in his district.
