U.S. POPULATION EXPLOSION FUELS DEMAND FOR ENERGY

Must see video at: href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7WJeqxuOfQ

Behind China and India, the U.S. is the third most populous nation in the world and we’re fast catching up. As population grows so does the amount of energy we need. Just as two people require more water than one person so it is with energy in a modern society.

To be sure there are ways to conserve but there is a limit to how much we can conserve without self destructing. There is no magic bullet and our dependence on foreign oil will range far into the future.

With the rapid industrialization of other areas of the world, natural resources will be in short supply---some already are. Our president refuses to deal with the massive population growth that is fueling the demand for water and energy.

For some reason the president and our State Department are intent on dumping as many people as they can onto our shores. Recently our Secretary of State granted an immigration waiver so that many of the 9,300 Burmese refugees at a camp in Thailand can be considered for resettlement in the United States. If you think our roads, schools, prisons and hospitals are jammed today just wait a few years.

The hole our president is digging gets deeper every day---to bring the U.S. to its knees, all our enemies have to do is wait until our population outstrips the supply of energy we can afford; if our good citizens don’t act, it may be sooner than you think.

Fast catching up? We’re not even close and the only reason we may be coming closer is their death rates are higher.

Not to mention that the EU’s population is nearly 1/2 a billion.

Right. And the big increase in our population is from illegal immigration.

Especially in California! The entire notion of cutting back on energy consumption is idiotic. Our civilization needs energy for productive growth and the security of its existence. There's no way the demands of the enviro wackos for extreme reductions in CO2 emissions output can be met without putting an end to civilization.

Exclude the illegals and let’s see what the growth rate is.

We’ve aborted over 40million Americans and are home to 20million illegal immigrants who are here because we reportedly don’t have enough people to do the work.

We haven’t been building power plants and oil refineries at the rate we’ve needed.

(Girl in the back with her hand raised, jumping up and down in seat):

I know! I know! Call on me! Put up a fence along our southern border, then fine every single employer of illegal aliens $1000 per illegal per day, and our population will go down as fast as it takes old, uninsured sedans filled with 8-12 people each to get to Tijuana!

Congratulations. You understand the rats/rino plans. They want us to consume a lot less. Note to the rest of the world: if we consume a lot less, who will you sell to?

I would think Pemex would be more upset about this than anyone - it’s their potential customer base that is fueling most of the demand. ;)

Power plants and refineries? Heck in out state it's taken years just to try and get upgraded power lines built. They still haven't been built! Is there any wonder why our energy policy is so completely screwed up. The environmentalists hamstring everything - for years - and add untold multiples to the cost of doing anything.

The EU’s population is nearly half a billion because it is an aggregation of nations, and the U.S. population is still closing the gap and may realistically pass it in the middle of the century due both to births and immigration which is often sourced from low-energy-consumption nations. I don’t really care about the original video or what it’s saying, but the boom in the U.S. population is not simply due to illegal immigration, and it’s a story that’s hardly being given the attention it deserves. Interim projects put the U.S. at well over 400 million by 2050, and high-end projections (which are increasingly more feasible) range anywhere from 800 million to China-like population figures by 2100.

Since much of the increase in America’s population is due to immigration, it isn’t accurate to say that this country is having a population explosion because that term refers to population increase that results from a rising birthrate. But, otherwise, the author’s complaints about immigration are valid and makes one wonder if it is really prudent for the U.S. to continue its open door immigration policy.

We’ve passed the 300 million mark.

We’re almost 1/4 of the way there.
