I wouldn’t believe anything this nutburger said about his parents. Lots of what’s been published out of his rants is untrue. From all accounts his family are really good people.

Sometimes the wrong kid gets born to the wrong parents. I've seen it happen once or twice.

To make myself clear, I'm not saying that this particular kid would have turned out normal if he'd had different parents; there was little chance of that, regardless. But it looks to me like he and his parents were, purely by chance, an unfortunate combination.

Agreed. His former roomnate at the missionary school was weierded out by the strange sounds he would make in bed. When he asked about that the guy said not to worry, that he was just talking to his "voices."

I strongly suspect he had an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness.
