Special prosecutor will look into [KS AG Paul] Morrison scandal

A special prosecutor will investigate the sex scandal involving Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison, which District Attorney Phill Kline said Thursday involved evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Kline, who received $25,000 from the Johnson County commissioners to hire the prosecutor, said the allegations included blackmail and telephone harassment. He provided no details, however, and Morrison denied that he had committed any crime.

Linda Carter, who worked for Morrison while he was district attorney in Johnson County, alleges that Morrison sexually harassed her. She also alleges that he pressured her to provide information about Kline’s investigation of an abortion clinic and urged her to write letters on behalf of eight staffers fired by Kline.

Morrison released a statement Thursday apologizing again for the affair. And though he never mentioned Kline by name, Morrison took aim at him.

“There is no doubt, however, that all accusations of official or criminal wrongdoing are false and part of a political assault against me waged for partisan gain,” Morrison said.

The commissioners approved Kline’s initial funding request on a 6-1 vote.

Interesting that you should ask that question. It is precisely what Morrison was attempting to get Carter to find out (as an employee of the D.A.'s office). It was called "witness tampering" by D.A.'s office in Planned Parenthood case.

Grand Jury panel selected on Monday, on Planned Parenthood, after KS Supreme's disallowed Tiller to toss out Wichita Grand Jury, Planned Parenthood decided not to fight it either.

Both knew that whatever was found by a jury, they'd appeal to .......KS Supreme Court, all pro-choice appointees by pro-abortion Govs. mostly by Sebelius, herself.

Once the KS Supremes toss the out the convictions on appeal, there will be NO FURTHER APPEAL!!!!

So much for justice in KS.
