Over 100 Prominent Scientists Warn UN Against 'Futile' Climate Control Efforts
The Inhofe EPW Press Blog ^ | December 13, 2007 | Marc Morano

"Significant new peer-reviewed research has cast even more doubt on the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused global warming."

BALI, Indonesia - The UN climate conference met strong opposition Thursday from a team of over 100 prominent international scientists, who warned the UN, that attempting to control the Earth's climate was "ultimately futile."

The scientists, many of whom are current and former UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) scientists, sent an open letter to the UN Secretary-General questioning the scientific basis for climate fears and the UN's so-called "solutions."

"Attempts to prevent global climate change from occurring are ultimately futile, and constitute a tragic misallocation of resources that would be better spent on humanity's real and pressing problems," the letter signed by the scientists read. The December 13 letter was released to the public late Thursday.

and this

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1936812/posts

and this

and this one is from an scientist who ALSO got a Pulitzer alongside Gore - and for HIS work on GW - but we don't hear about him, because he REFUTES in strong language what Gore and Gang are saying/doing...

http://www.heartland.org/Article.cfm?artId=22430

Excerpt:

"As a contributor to the IPCC’s 2007 report, I share the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore. Yet I and many of my peers in the British House of Lords - through our hereditary element the most independent-minded of lawmakers - profoundly disagree on fundamental scientific grounds with both the IPCC and my co-laureate’s alarmist movie An Inconvenient Truth, which won this year’s Oscar for Best Sci-Fi Comedy Horror.

There's also this film by Scientists: "The Great Global Warming Swindle"

http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=1945

The film is available on CD - and also online - takes a time to download, but worth it. (have a cup of coffee)

Shorter version here

http://en.sevenload.com/videos/ha4PoKY/The-Great-Global-Warming-Swindle

I have been in correspondence with the leading scientist on this film - they have been able to get it shown in the UK and in Canada - but are having great resistance in the US - big surprise.

I have all these and many other links saved = saves a lot or time when you need the info to refute the dumbas*ses that swallow the very dangerous hype

Yes, it’s futile.

Al Gore will have us all getting around barefoot on horseback and reading by candlelight, while the Chinese will be happily chugging about in Mercedes Benz and flying first class.

The UN climate conference met strong opposition...

Not possible. The Goracle already said the debate was over.

If they're debating, does that mean...

...the Goracle was...

gasp

Wrong?

It used to be 2,000 scientists for GW, then a few weeks back it was down to 200 scientists for GW. Now it’s 100 against it. So our efforts to stop global warming must be working.

I was listening to Beck this morning, a caller said a Rochester school superintendent didnt budget for slow plows this year because she heard about global warming. And of course this week they got hammered.

Imagine, scientists promoting economic growth and wealth generation as the solutions for global warming. Who would have thunk it?

Replace the word scientists with politicians and it's the same mystery.

That is what Science is all about. Objective truth. Not hand-waving, and singing ‘its the end of the world as we know it’ to anyone who has the temerity not to believe something you do.

Actually, the "global warming" hoax has nothing to do with science:

__________________________________________________

(From: U.N. Blackballs International Scientists from Climate Change Conference
The Heartland Institute ^ | December 4, 2007 | Tom Swiss)

As the debate on man-made global warming has been heating up, the UN has tried to freeze out the scientists and new evidence, summarily dismissing them with the claim "the science is settled."

James M. Taylor, senior fellow for The Heartland Institute explained, "It is not surprising the UN has completely rejected dissenting voices. They have been doing this for years. The censorship of scientists is necessary to promote their political agenda. After the science reversed on the alarmist crowd, they claimed 'the debate is over' to serve their wealth redistribution agenda."
