Maybe someone here would know: My husband told me, a couple days ago, Hannity played an audiotape of Al Sharpton using slurs at a speech. But, neither he nor I can find anything about the story on the internet. Was it a hoax? Does anyone here know more about it?

Is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of looking at that “Election Watch” car on FOX.
The camera is zeroed in on the passenger side and all the people I have seen looks like they weigh in at 350#.
What in hell type of car is it? Looks like a 1992 Ford Taurus wagon, painted mostly blue.

Just saw this on "News of the Weird." Wonder if the FR moderators would be interested in this software?
Software engineers told Fortune magazine in November that they are constructing a filter to eliminate stupid messages to online forums and bulletin boards. Lead researcher Gabriel Ortiz said his team had compiled a database of idiotic comments and that the new software would detect unintelligible remarks and either alert the writer to fix them or divert the message to the recipient's "junk mail." Easy dumb messages to filter: those with the tacky, immature repetition of a closing consonant, e.g., "That thing is amazinggggg!!!" More difficult: how to treat sarcasm and irony, in that smart writers sometimes deliberately use dumb statements to mock other writers. [CNNMoney-Fortune, 11-7-07]

Nah, meant only as a joke.
But I bet the mods wouldn’t mind software that blocked out phrases they consider tiresome, like “Thailand?” and “Bush’s fault.”
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Why would they want to block “Thailand”?
I must have missed that thread. LOL!

Good, at least I know my husband didn’t imagine the whole thing. He said Hannity played an audio tape of a speech Sharpton gave criticizing a black woman who is a public official, and that Sharpton was using slurs against her. But there is nothing on the internet about it that we can find.

Well, Isiah Thomas criticized a woman on tape and Sharpton was demanding an apology from Isiah. Maybe this was it? I thought Sean said that it was Sharpton as well because I thought that he played it the day after he had Jesse Lee Peterson and Leo Terrell on.
Hey Sean, if you’re lurking, help this poster out, please!

Do you mean for Sean or for Ambassador Keyes? As a strong Giuliani opponent, I’m deriving naughty joy from hearing Sean getting a dose of his own medicine.

LOL. Sean does like the sound of his own voice a bit much, but it doesn’t even approach the level of Dr. Keyes.

True, but Ambassador Keyes has more substantive points to make. He’s a ridiculously powerful intellect. That was one of the most invigorating political discourses I’ve heard since Pat Buchanan’s speech at the 1992 Republican convention.

I used to love the Ambassador. After the last two Presidential runs, and especially this interview, I think he’s gone quite mad.
