The fire near I-10 was still burning last week when I went past on my way to Houston. Having a second one so soon is an odd coincidence. I'd like to know what the failure mode was.

Thanksgiving week there was a pipeline fire which had I-10 shut down. We have relatives driving into Houston from that area, and they had to detour around it. That was only last month.
What’s with these pipeline fires?
