It’s not a question of what his son did but whether Huckabee abused his position to get him off, and whether he fired a subordinate for correctly refusing to intervene.

ANY loving father would use any influence he had to keep his son from being prosecuted. Especially when the charge is as trivial as the killing a freakin' dog.

The hatred for Huckabee is really despicable. It will probably ending up creating a backlash in his favor.
