DON'T EXAGGERATE TERROR

The former top advisor on terrorism to UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown says that Britain is in danger of exaggerating the threat from al Qaeda.

Richard Mottram retired last month as an advisor on intelligence and security. He says that focusing too much on terrorist movement underplays other important threats.

So what are these threats, according to Mottram, that we are neglecting because of our focus on terrorism? Well not surprisingly, global warming tops the list. After global warming you have flu pandemics, the emergence of rogue states, globalization and its impact on power balances, global poverty and its impact on population movement, energy security, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and organized crime.

Hold it! Global freaking warming? For weeks now we've hearing about all of these grandiose plans to redistribute the world's wealth and resources from wealthy free nations to dysfunctional third world dictatorships. Now they're going to tell us that we need to put this wealth distribution program ahead of fighting the threat of Islamic fascism?

This European, peace-at-any-price bureaucrat says, "What we shouldn't do is play into al Qaeda's hands by exaggerating the extent and nature of the threat they present globally."

So ... which path holds the promise of the greatest negative consequences? Ignoring the real threat of Islamic radicalism, or ignoring this global warming scam. Wake up, people. They're after your wallets now. Wait until they start attacking your freedoms.

Global warming has killed....how many people, exactly?

Oh, that’s right. Zero.

Well, you know we exaggerated 9-11 too, here in the US and all. Just ask any Conspiracy Theorist, and they will tell you we deserved what we got. And hell, Bush set it up - the whole thing, and NO plane hit the damned Pentagon either, and just how in the hell did we find Mohammad Atta’s passport on the ground near the World Trade Center.

The English have the same sorts that live in the states here, people who make crap up as they go along and refuse, utterly refuse to listen to reason, logic or the facts.

Zero deaths perhaps, but it has fried an awful lot of brains.
