Giuliani's fall in crucial states makes him vulnerable

WASHINGTON - These are tough times for former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. He's still the leading Republican presidential candidate in national polls, but only by two percentage points over former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, according to five national polls this month averaged by RealClearPolitics.com.

And in early-voting states, Giuliani's sinking fast. He's a distant third in Iowa, a closer third in New Hampshire and has sunk to fourth in South Carolina, according to recent polls. With Iowa's first-to-vote caucuses on Jan. 3 and New Hampshire's primary five days later, Giuliani's campaign appears to be sliding.

"There are certainly black clouds in the numbers for him," said Brad Coker, the managing director of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.

The recent reduction in violence in Iraq may be hurting Giuliani. Toughness against terrorism is the cornerstone of his campaign. But Americans believe that President Bush's Iraq troop-increase plan is working, and that's lowering their concerns about terrorism, Coker said.

In the same league as McCain the RINO.

Couldn’t see this drop coming...../s

Folks, Rudy was a media creation, as SC draws closer and closer the race will narrow down to Romney v Huckabee.

Fred tanked, Hunter never caught on, McCain has the slimest of chances and Ron Paul is on a different level altogether, he won’t win the nomination either though.

I dearly hope Fred can turn it around, but it just ain’t happening unless the polling companies are massively wrong, like totally wrong...

Rudy-Tooty was always vulnerable, but it took someone like Jim Robinson to call a spade a spade, and when the RudyBots on FR made like lemmings at the cliff, JimRob said “watch that first step, it’s a long way down to Rudyville!”

Hang in there, padre35, Fred’s demise is a media creation as well: don’t fall for it by giving up. (And enjoy these next couple of weeks!)

We don’t have a primary vote in my state for quite sometime, Fred’s Fate is in other people’s hands then mine my friend.

What is worse, is Huck and Mitt are similar type of candidates.

I absolutely agree.

The MSM has had two rules in the GOP race:

1. Don't give coverage to Thompson

and

2. Don't give coverage to Thompson

Rooooty was their creation - because they loved his pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, pro-gun control stance.

The problem was, Conservatives didn't.

Romney is going to cry again on camera if it gets him a few points. I believe he really pulled his car over and wept uncontrollably upon hearing blacks were finally let into Joseph Smith's secret club. Ummmm hmmmm.

This is the candidate the MSM really fear.

When he first started thinking about running, the MSM went into fear mode. Instead of the news headlines saying a former Senator was thinking about running, they all went something like this:

"Actor Thompson Thinking About Running"

or...

"GOP Mulls Voting For Another B-List Actor"

That should tell all of us how much they fear his candidacy.
