“I will ditto Thompson’s’s last remark. If he should make it to the WH, ya’ll might not like some of Fred’s surprises.”

I think the above will be true no matter who wins. I do however believe there may be fewer surprises with Thompson than perhaps with either Romney or Guiliani.

Reagan wasn’t perfect, despite the hagiography lavished on him over the past 10 years.

Anyone expecting perfection from any person we elect has set themselves up for big disappointment. I know going in that there will times that I will be at odds with Fred’s opinions or actions. I simply believe that, as a presidential package, he is the best conservative choice and that we have a good chance of him still being the same flawed but decent and principled man after the election.

I’m convinced Fred Thompson loves our country and I’m convinced he is not seeking the Presidency out of a lust for power, fame, or money. These are difficult times and we have no idea what the nation and the next President will face, but I would be more confident with Fred Thompson in charge than any other front runner on either side. I hope others come to the same conclusion before they cast their votes.

As for surprises, I’m with Fred. I think there are more good ones to come.
