Neither can I, but we all knew what the Falcons were before he took the job.
He knew he was going to a thuggish collection of idiots, he just thought he'd have one more on the field than he ended up with.
Unfortunately good forum like FR are infested by ‘Drive By Bigots’ (apologies to El Rushbo).
They such out any thread concerning a black person, spew their venom and drive on to the next black thread. Notice that these posters are usually present at the beginning of the thread.
If anything kills the conservative movement it will be the DBB’s. While they are careful to post within the limits of acceptability, it’s the perception they leave behind that is a ‘turn off’ to most prospective conservatives.

I'm fine with the fines. :)
Well we got used to Nutt being beat down by the SEC, three plays up the middle and punt became Nutt's offensive philosophy. When Nutt ran off Damien Williams and Mitch Mustain, two nationally sought recruits, from our own backyard of Springdale, who will both be starting for USC next year, that was the final straw for Arkansas fans.
On their dime and time = OK
On the job, at work = not OK
imo.
I cant tell you those players reasons for those actions but let me shed some light on where Im coming from, I think its similar:
Im a young black guy from the rural South, Louisiana specifically. Until recently, cockfighting was perfectly legal there and I went all the time although I rarely bet much money. Ive never been to a dog fight but I could if I wanted to, everyone knew where they were at and the police just looked the other way. In fact I had a cousin who was a cop and I knew for a fact he went to at least one dogfight. So, right or wrong, none of this was usual, fighting animals was something I grew up with and not only I accepted but was accepted by authority figures around me.
I used to help my grandfather slaughter animals on his far (where he also raised cocks). We didnt personify animals the way I suspect many of you do. Many people in my extended family kept dogs like most people but I cant name one that kept their dogs inside. Animals were treated one way, and people another there really was no middle ground. Yes fighting dogs was illegal but for the life of me I still cant figure out why some people consider it wrong. Whats the difference between fighting a dog and a chicken?
Im not writing this off the time of my time, Ive put some thought into this since this Vick story came up. Morally, of course you treat animals different from people however where is the moral justification for legislating different laws for different animals. Simply put, animals dont have rights therefore its impossible to violate those rights and if no ones rights have been violated, where is the crime?
Animal cruelty laws are immoral and I find it difficult to fault someone from doing whatever he can to avoid punishment for breaking an immoral law.
That isn't a terribly principled position.
If you believe the law is immoral, you stand up and say "Sure I did it. It's a bad law, and I'm not sorry I broke it." You demand by your moral character that the law be changed.
But lying? Lying automatically loses the high ground. It signifies a lack of faith in one's convictions - you don't like the law because it inconveiences you, but you don't think that the law is really wrong.
You assumed that’s what Vick though...in fact neither of us know why.
I probably would have done just that...and end up getting sentenced to 5 years in prison. Vick did what he thought was best, grovel before the man and get two years.
If the Falcons moved out of town, would anyone in ATL even notice or care?
Cock fighting and dog fighting are not humane. Why do animals not deserve to be treated humanely?
We do know what Vick thought - mens rea.
Men with the courage of their convictions don’t lie. They don’t blame others. If they do decide that a plea deal is better than taking a chance in court, they don’t keep lying after taking the deal.
Why don't they have rights?
Thats a good point.
I did not see each and every display.
I DID see one player with a MV on the black under his eye and a flash of a tee shirt under a jersey on the sideline.
I just think fining the players was too harsh and an over reaction.
The NFL has a long history of fining players who write personal statements on their gear. Do you favor an elimination of that rule altogether, or are you of the opinion that these particular people deserve leniency?
Whatever side Peter King takes on any issue, I feel more comfortable being on the other side.

On the sideline?
Try in the end zone, playing for the national cameras:
Looks like Vick left them dry and high.
I agree...things have gotten ridiculous.
Yes, he is a flaming liberal...
