W’s legacy will be very favorable on his war on terror.

No kidding. Six years after 9/11 and not a single successful terrorist attack on American soil. No doubt the terrorists have tried and be thwarted time and again. That's not to say that they won't be successful in the coming year, because they will certainly try to ramp up their efforts in order to embarrass Bush and the Republicans before the election. But, the fact is that he has been overwhelmingly successful in the WOT. I think American people will begin to think about this in Bush's final year and start giving credit where it's due and his approval numbers will be up markedly in 2008.

Nor any attacks on US Embassies abroad. Remember how under Clinton we just got accustomed to our embassies blowing up?

Seems this would backfire. After 9-11 Bush had an astronomical approval rating. Heck, left-wing nuts got so bitter about his popularity they coined the term "neo-con" to describe those who became conservative overnight. And today, they have evolved this bitterness into a delusional array of "it was all an inside job" conspiracy theories.

No, when America gets hammered they wake up and want a conservative in office.
