A poll by satellite TV Al Jazeera on the attacks in Algiers on December 11 has aroused bitter controversy in the Algerian media.
"Are you in favour of Al Qaedàs attacks in Algeria?".
This is the "scandalous question", daily Liberte writes, proposed by Qatar's channel Al Jazeera, "which makes of the terrorist apology one of the main editorial lines".
The daily adds that more serious are the results: a total 54% of the TV audience has answered to be in favour of the double suicide bomb attack in Algiers against the seat of the UN and the Constitutional Court, "...

The Algerians make the Iraqi’s of old look like geniuses. Of course, it’s a poll but 54% of respondents think it’s Ok to bomb their own city? Nuts.
Whats crazier is that Al Jazeera pulled the poll afterwards. Even pro-terrorist networks like CNN...I mean, Al jazeera knew where the poll was headed.

The article says it's a poll of Al Jazeera viewers, not of the residents of Algiers. Algeria is known for being a secular Muslim country. Which means the more traditional Muslim viewers would see it as Sodom and Gomorrah rolled into one.
My point again is that this is a poll of Al Jazeera viewers around the world.
If so, that makes the results merely a curosity. We Freep online polls all the time. So does everybody else.
Now, if Al Jazeera initiated some random sampling, boy, 54% in favor of mayhem and murder becomes a bit more than a curiosity, I would think.
oh,well. Would have been a fun one to freep!
