No, they don’t.

There is no need for government involvement in telling a private entity under what conditions and to whom they must make their product available.

Of course you are right. But you have to add that Congress has no business exempting any business from the antitrust laws. Can’t have one without the other.

When they have a government protected monopoly they are subject to the whims of government.

Government doesn’t need to intervene? They already intervened when they gave them an exemption. All they are saying is maybe they don’t need the exemption anymore...

the sports industry wouldn't exist or at least not be nearly as profitable if it weren't for the fact that the US taxpayer has paid for most stadiums, the roads around them, the extra police, etc

if I paid for it, I should be able to see it without an additional price to watch it on the telly, which I also pay for....

True. And there should also not be an antitrust exemption for anybody... or did I miss that in the Constitution?
