The author deeply misunderstands Libertarian philosophy. Libertarian does not translate into egalitarian. True a Libertarian would tend not to favor discrimination against gays. Not because they believe everyone must be treated exactly the same but because it is none of the government’s business what people do in private. The army example is a poor one since one gives up privacy when they join the military.
Good for Ron Paul. He hasn’t caved to the deviants. Just say no to queers, pedophiles, the interspecies transitioners, the genitally mutilated transgenders, and the necrophiles.
Ron Paul does make some very valid points about how our country is being run by the current crop of political managers.
But he comes across as a little too flaky. Maybe it is his no BS attitude. he don’t mince words. he says what he believes. Much to the dismay of the hush hush politically correct sectarian movements in America.
We need a few more like him in congress perhaps. but for President, no thanks.
‘Paul markets himself as an ideologically pure libertarian’
Which, given his remaining a Republican, makes him a first class hypocrite.
If you are a libertarian, and you overlook this obvious fact, you are a hypocrite as well.
