It was a weak response on Mitt’s part. However, everyone is going to have to correct mistakes along the campaign trail, and in the end this won’t hurt him.

He has a knack for smoothing things over rather well.

Well, Mitt hasn’t explained his remarks about his sons LACK of military service. In my book missionary work doesn’t take its place.

I read yesterday that David Broder said in a book years ago that Governor Romney had marched with MLK. His father isn’t around to ask anymore. Maybe it’s something he believed was true, in which case saying he “saw” it is not outrageous.

So far, the criticisms of Mitt seem to have a ‘straining the gnat’ quality to them. The bad stuff about Mitt doesn’t even come close to what people are ignoring about Huckabee and Hillary.

In my view, Mitt Romney gives the phrase “empty suit” a bad name.

He is utterly devoid of any principle.
