By using his veto pen, he also might have saved the republican congress from themselves by cutting back on the spending from idiots with their “bridge to nowhere” Stevens and the rest.

Leadership is never easy, it is lonely. I think that Bush believed his own “lets just get along” mantra longer than he should have.

The very BEST thing that W could do is be BOLD and call an enemies of freedom out, whether they are overseas or in the halls of congress!
