Due to my pro-life views, the only 2 candidates I can fervently support (that have any chance at this point) are Huckabee and Thompson.

Here is a question - if Huckabee were to be taken out by Romney’s attack machine, where do his voters go? To Romney? To Guiliani? To McCain? No, they go to the only other pro-life, pro-marriage Republican left in the race, Thopmson. That is, if he is still around by that time.

Last I saw, 40% of Huckabee’s voters have Thompsone as a second choice. 40% go to home or undecided. 20% to other candidates. I saw that once, so I have no idea how true it is now.

The major themes in the current campaign are national security, immigration, the economy and social issues. The candidate that hammers those issues day after day is likely to emerge from the pack.

The race is still a little to fluid to be making predictions at this point. My gut feel is that whoever has momentum going into the Florida primary may wind up winning the nomination.
