“When visiting my in-laws, I like to spend some time reading. They will always walk over to where I am sitting and turn on the nearest lamp to its brightest and most annoying setting. Do they bother to ask me if I want the lamp turned on or up? No. Do they think I am perfectly capable of turning the lamp on or up myself? No. It drives me crazy. :-P”

Well, at least they love you. Do they also bring you a nice comforting bowl of hot chicken noodle soup?

Yes, they do love me. No, they don’t bring me soup.

It still drives me crazy, especially after 3 days of it. (We introverts like to complain about people. It’s how we get through life, LOL! Hell is other people at breakfast, and all that.)

My in laws were the worst ones. They just KNEW I needed brighter light to read by. I didn’t. It is irritating to have bright lights when you are reading, the glare is awful. I have 20 20 vision at age 56. My aunt had 20 20 vision at age 90.
