My prediction is compressor stall city, the first time the pilot pulls back the stick to rotate it.

CRJ's and A-10's don't have their CF34's mounted way high for looks.

And how do you have a "first Production" plane for an airframe that has never flown before.

Shouldn't there be some prototypes first before production begins?

Good thing there is no problem too big that is can't be solved by throwing more money at it.

Actually, to be MORE accurate, and MD90.

No really. Boeing sold them the tooling and license. That is pretty much an MD-90 fuselage. The wings are a Russian design. Engines are GE and the Avionics suite is Rockwell Collins.

But look at 50 years of aviation history and we go from Kitty Hawk to the first F-4’s.

Nah, that's 55 years. The F-4 prototype first flew in 1958.

You buy it all off the shelf like a big Lego kit and put it together.

I used to fly Britt’s Ex-Air Illinois BAC back and forth to Evansville from Indy twice a week...

Now that I look at it, it seems strangely familiar to THIS:

The jackscrew. Check the jackscrew.

They probably got a good deal on some used Jackscrews they picked up at Roswell for cheap.

They just needed a little touching up to the paperwork....

WTH--Clinton was in office until 2001, then she moved on to the Senate...that should have meant a nice uninterrupted flow of secrets to the Chinese.

the MD-90 doesn't and the ARJ is based off the MD-90.

Complete with lead wings and cheap plastic parts which fall off in midflight.

I like the strategic placement of the emergency doors - just the right spot to feed fleeing passengers into the turbine engines.
