You missed the point—IRIB was the original source of the mistranslation, which then took on a life of its own, and is now considered to be “truth”.
Or, rather than stretch to find reasons to disbelieve, we might suppose that (seeing as how Iran has many excellent English speakers, due to its past engagement with the West), the translation was exactly what the Iranian government meant to say. But it's far better for your political ideology to assume them to be incompetent, so who cares if it is illogical. Talk about straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel...
The biggest problem in the West is that brand of ijjits who refuse to believe what the Islamofascists tell them straight to their face. It's bad enough when liberals refuse to believe the mad Muslims when the say they want us dead (I understand that, because we already know they are "special"... in the educational sense of the word). But when people on the right go through all kinds of mental gymnastics to avoid the plain meaning of the enemy's words...
Jeez!
Deathmonger:
Only thing more frightening than thirty years of “Death to the big Satan” rallies hosted by the now nuclear Revolutionary Islamic Republic of Iran; it’s the uber ignorance of ROnPaul disciples.
In the USA, we’re steeped in a culture of lying politicians and used car salesmen as the norm. But in middle-eastern culture, one only says what one means. When fascists chant Death to America (”The big Satan”) this includes killing our ignorant ROnPaulbots and other useless liberals.
Now step away from the bong and sober up,
