"...I am not following you. Are you suggesting Israel premptively launch nukes against Iran, Eqypt and Saudia Arabia? Is that what you are saying?..."

What I'm saying is that if the USA does not stop Iran from building a Nuclear Arsenal, then, Israel may well decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran.

Logistically, Israel would be hard-pressed to strike Iran with aircraft and conventional weapons. The sheer quantity of targets, aircraft and munitions needed, and lack of Air Supremacy, virtually preclude a successful removal of the Iranian nuke assets. And Iran must be stopped cold! Halfway won't cut it.

If the USA abandons Israel to its own devices, they could either use-up part of their Air assets in a strike at Iran, then face the rest of the arab-world with what they have left.

Or they can smack Iran as much as they feel is needed with nukes, possibly making a mess out of Irans oil-fields, but preserving their own Air Forces. Then they'd be in the same place the USA was in after Hiroshima, but before Nagasaki in 1945. Why sacrifice another single Israeli life for these murderous bastards?

The latest NIE Report is pure-political-bull$hit. Israeli Intel is the best available in the Middle East, and they'll let the USA know when action is necessary. I'm confident that President Bush will drop the hammer on Iran before the 2008 election, probably after the primaries when the dimocRATs have hardened their anti-war, anti-American positions ............. FRegards

I'm confident that you have no information on which to support this assertion. What is "drop the hammer"? It would take thousands of bombs and even then they could not get at all the deep underground facilities. I see no pattern of preparation for such a massive attack not do I see a way to complete the job without boots on the ground. Perhaps wishful thinking on your part but I see no evidence that this will happen as you claim.

Israel successfully attacked a site in Syria September 6 with no advance chatter and next to no explanation afterwards.

There is much in the way of wet-blanket talk regarding any attack on Iran.

We have been treated to Ahmadinejad saying Israel cannot do it. We have no end of the annointed experts pronouncing it an impossibly complex task. We have the flaunting of the so-wonderful Russian systems defending.

And yet 3,000 centrifuges are down that truck ramp shown in various photos.

Perhaps there will be something unfortunate occuring at just the one site.

So what that there is a lot of earth and concrete over the centrifuges if they cannot be accessed.

As with the Syrian attack, it will be a fact.

Talk is cheap, op-eds in the NYT and hot air on Aljazeera are nothing compared to some bombs.

How did Israel get into Syria when it was protected by those Russian systems.

Something might happen, and nothing would be said.

For after all to squeal like a little pig shows how vulnerable you are, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The whistling past the graveyard continues.
