Headache pain that severe usually indicates a stroke.....doesn’t it?

Very rarely does a headache indicate a stroke. When flying at high altitudes any sinus type pressure will increase the pain of a headache. I am not saying that is what it was, but that is a much more likely scenario than a stroke.

Having said that, I would really like to hear all of the details, although when the campaign says "flu like symptoms" my first thought was diarrhea and who wants to talk about the "trots" in public.

Dehydration (as another poster pointed out) will also bring on headaches. Along with just stress and about a million other things besides a stroke.

No, not usually.

Someone having a stroke, depending on severity, might look like they're drunk, confused, have numbness, a blank expression... The symptoms vary depending on the part of the brain affected.
