Chertoff should simply move the fence NORTH of any protesting rancher, mayor, or other official's property.
Leave them to the tender mercies of the Mexicans.

Chertoff is a bad joke. George Bush's refusal to enforce U.S. immigration laws, to halt further illegal immigration, and to close the Mexican Border has earned him the contempt of the American people--including those of us who were formerly among his most loyal and enthusiastic supporters. His appointment of Chertoff is an insult to the American people.

Well, given the President's Private Agenda getting as many illegals into this nation as possible combined with our "Good Friend" and newest
confirmed traitor Kay Bailey plus the local to the area open border crew profiteering on the human trafficking and drug smuggling... the "good times" are going to keep on rolling all across the Texas Border.
What with the possibility of a bad decision by the Supremes in DC v. Heller I would suggest to all that you invest all available money in ammo till the outcome of the case.
Especially if you are near or in a southern Border state. It is clear from "The Hutchinson Amendment" that the fence is bogus. A sham. More opiate for the masses. Another Abaddon lie from the DC Crew.

Okay, then.
The Texas Border Coalition members should be happy to pick up any costs associated illegal aliens who enter the U.S. from their property.

Those yahoos against putting up fences are driven by all the mexicans they represent and that only.
The rest of the country as to contend with all of the criminals and drug dealers being exported by Mexico and the Central American rabble making their way into our country.

Local leaders have been urging DHS to incorporate the border fence into the levee system that runs along the Rio Grande, a proposal the agency denied in its recent environmental assessment. Okay, why isn't the fence being built on the levee? It looks to me like the government is trying to create opposition.
