Chertoff should simply move the fence NORTH of any protesting rancher, mayor, or other official's property.

Chertoff is a bad joke. George Bush's refusal to enforce U.S. immigration laws, to halt further illegal immigration, and to close the Mexican Border has earned him the contempt of the American people--including those of us who were formerly among his most loyal and enthusiastic supporters. Okay, why isn't the fence being built on the levee? It looks to me like the government is trying to create opposition.
