There are two Americas - the "haves" whose children never get Chinese made gifts under the "Holiday Tree" and everybody else.

Saying that, this should be the least of her problems.

Elizabeth Edwards says avoiding the "Made in China" label on toys is not exactly child's play.

Sounds like she's been shopping for hubby's love child. When is it due? About three months from now?

“With millions of recalls rolling in this year because of lead in toys”

I certainly would rather not buy Chinese, but “millions”?

Her husband had no trouble finding a US toy.

Maybe she should quit shopping and pay attention to her marriage — although john’s not much of a catch.

Part of the reason it can be so hard to find US made toys is that US mfgrs have been driven out of business by foreign mfgrs who can undersell us - in big part due to the fact that the US tax code rewards those who import to the US - and simultaneously punishes US mfgrs.

It is unbelievable that this "foreign aid" goes largely unnoticed.

Toys??????

Try finding American-made steel.

America's economy & defense is so dependent on China that I consider it a National Security issue!

If you're John Edwards, just try to use your influence to get a PlayStation 3 from Wal-Mart!Edwards blames "volunteer" for trying to get Wal-Mart to get him a new video game. But of course he WOULD do that, wouldn't he?

She must not shop much. Finding ANYTHING in stores that is not made in China is a challenge.

I think it’s especially a challenge shopping for toys for your husband’s mistress’s unborn child. Maybe she asked for extra lead in those binkies and teethers.

Dear Mrs. Edwards:

Shopping is a lot easier if you send one of your menials to Wal-Mart to butt in line in front of all those people from the "other America".
