Beyond the reasons mentioned here, his Kerry-like equivocation, there’s also the issue of spending ten years of his adult life in a racist church that discriminated against blacks — behavior he still refuses to say was wrong.

Since Mitt was a loyal, faithful Mormon and a missionary, we’re dopes if we think Mitt never defended the church’s racist doctrinal policies in conversation or preaching — and the Democrats are going to have people in standby who can remember it.

In that kind of way, I don’t think so. I think he is a decent enough guy, and Maurice Romney and his Dad seem to have put some quiet pressure on higher headquarters.

I just think he’s lived a life isolated by religion, family, and education from the experience of most Americans. Further, I don’t think a couple of years as Governor, and a few more away, stroking up Republican Poobahs is enough political experience. He spent his last two years trying to pass off the stinky sneaker of the no Massachusetts Miracle( reduex Dukakis )into a pair of Bruno Maglias. And spreading Joe Kennedy like cash.
