Brett Favre is such a regular guy that fans everywhere have been touched by his story, which has required a perseverance that merits our admiration
Every Tuesday, he takes out the trash. I pass this along as further confirmation that the Brett Favre folklore is no myth, that he is very much the Everyman who warms the American condition like no other athlete. It isn't talk-show-cool to dish such gooey love, I realize, particularly in a horrid year when steroids, dogfighting and game-fixing have dominated and debilitated sports like rat poison.

Nice column about Farve. Of course everyone knows that the reason the are doing so well this year is because of me wearing my lucky A. J. Hawks jersey every sunday. LOL!

Does not matter what my team is I will always respect and admire Brett and his family. I am so glad he stayed for one more year to have such a good one if he decides to reture now he will do so on top.

I've convinced my wife that the fate of the Cowboys is tied to our sex life. Come on baby, do it for the boys. It's been working thus far.

Yeah, she and I never have sex on behalf of the 49ers, so I bet you're right.

She screams out "Oh Santa!" This just begs for a comment ... but I don't want to get banned just before Christmas so I'll let it slide.

When Mr Farve enters Canton, he should give special thanks to Ron Turner, the incompetent idiot responsible for the bears offensive offense. He was terrible under Wanny and he is worse under Lovie.

BREAKING NEWS!!! Playing for Brett this week
AP- Green Bay Times - Tue 12-11-07
The Green Bay Packers delivered a shocking announcement today.
Their starting quarterback this Sunday will be Mrs. Brett Favre, who will play for Brett during the first quarter.
Fans in Green Bay were shocked when this announcement was made, but Mrs. Favre assured the fans that, "Hey, I know this game. I live with Brett. I have taken several road trips on the team plane. I've gone to the pre-game meal. I know a lot of the Packers. I've played around with a lot of the Packers in the back yard. I've tossed the football with them, and I know what a slot right 60-Prevent-Slot-Hook-And-Go is and I know how to avoid a corner blitz."
So they polled the people in Green Bay , 50% of Packers fans are excited, motivated, looking forward to the big game.
All right, you think that's ridiculous? Let me reread this.
In a shocking announcement today, Mrs. Hillary Clinton announced that she is running for president of the United States because she knows Bill Clinton and has lived with him, and she was there on a lot of trips to China and around the world, and she really cared about kids for 35 years. She's fought and she stood up for kids, and she' s tried to fix health care, and she knows fifty percent of the American people say, "That's good enough for us."
Ignorance is bliss?????

Not quite the same analogy. Mrs. Farve only relationship with football is that her husband is a player. Hillary on the other hand is just as incompetent, sleezy politician and has a pathetic record of accomplishments, just like her husband did when he first ran!

Favre: An American treasure
I simply like Favre because he reminds me of another "gunslinger",
Ken Stabler.
That's just my fallible, average-football-fan opinion.

Ken Stabler.
I didn't realize until long after "The Snake" retired that he's a distant (very) relative from shared Alabama roots.
