Driver’s licenses, credit cards, yada yada...

Contact the Dept. of Vital Statistics in your home state. Send them 15 bucks or so.

They will send you a certified, signed copy of your Certificate of Live Birth.

Put it under your mattress. It’s a legal document.

Police in suburban Scottsdale have begun routinely asking for proof of citizenship from every suspect they arrest and turning those who are in this country illegally over to federal immigration officials.

Out-bleeping-standing! There should be a Federal law which requires that all Federal monies meant for a police agency (state, county or municipal) would be withheld from any agency that doesn't do *exactly* what Scottsdale does.

We live in Tuolumne county, and I am not stretching it one bit. This is not an uncommon occurance here.
This is how our day goes during a day of hunting; sun up till @ 9-10 in the morning we deer hunt, @10-2 we cut wood, time permitting we fish then do the evening hunt. I was almost cited for hauling the wood we cut after sunset. The forest service sets up inspection points on forest roads and trails specificly to check for all of what I mentioned. Further more the Forest service have “hikers” that hike on popular trails to make sure you have your hiking permit and any other license you are required to have for the activity you are doing. Don’t believe me, just go to your local forest service office and ask them. You have to have a permit to take home a pinecone.

Because we are Americans.

Granted, yes, but at the same time we live in different times, therefore vigilance in observing the law of the land has to be the first priority of every citizen in order to restore integrity of the republic!

Illegal immigration will be the downfall of our Republic!

Before acceding to the merit of that argument, we need to remember we can always let people in LEGALLY.

I have as much proof as any American that I am a legal citizen...including birth certificate...driver's license...FAA issued mechani's license ...FAA issued pilot's license...etc....go ahead..ask me for my papers...proud to show them as an American citizen...

It’s not a matter of guilt of innocence, it’s a matter of criminal trespassing. Besides, guilt or innocence is a legal term, it has nothing to do with consequences for ones actions.

Don’t desperate time, need desperate measures? The cops ask to see my drivers license (id) every time I have been stopped for an infraction. So what is the big deal?

I have been living in this country for the best part of a Century. During all that time I have never been asked for proof of my citizenship. I fly the Stars and Stripes on a pole right outside my front door, and I am Infuriated with the very thought that anyone especially one of our elected officials would have the audacity to question my citizenship.

I understand...sympathize..and basically agree....but we are going to have to make some sacrifices in the old way to solve this problem and get back to the country we use to be...the problem is too huge. I'm a pilot type and I remember when the pilots of an airliner left the door open to the cockpit...and because of a few radicals those days are sadly gone forever...the illegal immigration problem is a much larger problem in this country than Islamic terrorism IHMO....and a much larger threat to the American way of life.

If not for the ridiculously PC attitude of the lefties, I would think that, in most cases, it would be pretty obvious as soon as someone opens their mouths. For the rest, they should be honored to be able to prove they are here legally.

Count me among the honored...even though I'm white...blonde haired blue eyed and speak with a pre-Mexican invasion California accent...:o)

I have to carry my DL, SS card, Nursing license and CPR cert because any facility I’m in can ask for proof that I am.....who I say I am. If I constantly have to prove I’m legitimately a nurse with a valid license to visit my patients....plus wear a photo ID at all times.....why should they whine about carrying id?

Agreed! I have a wallet full of ID's I have to use in various situations...for example I'm a pilot type with a number of licenses and the FAA has the right to ask me to produce them at any time...so I should consider them the Gestapo??....relax and quit whining...if you are a legal citizen that is....

The result will be an underground barrio in which the police get no info, can’t follow crime, can’t prosecute crimes, and for justice the locals have to turn to gangs.

And the solution is to flood the barrio with ICE agents, who deport every illegal they find. When the only ones left are legal residents, then there is no longer an incentive to not cooperate

So, it comes down to how high up the food chain the victim was before anything is done.

[Illegals do more than cut lawns.]

And when the new law banning their employment goes into effect next week, they will be leaving the country in droves.

(Funny side bar- A number are preparing to return to their native country. BUT, in order to go across the border, they need Mexican ID. They are having to write Mexico to get Birth Certs, etc and the oficials down there are BITCHING TO HIGH HEAVEN. Aw, poor pobrecitos!)

So their problems are mounting and I, for one, don’t want them here to witness, cut grass or rape my daughters, THANK YOU! You can excuse them all you want. You foot the bill.

IMHO, you have your head in the nether regions.

Telling 300,000+ illegals in Phoenix that they now must avoid the police, never come forward as witnesses, never report crimes, and refuse to show up in court, is only shooting ourselves in the foot.

Jeez, you can't be serious?!? Deporting 300,000 illegals from Phoenix would eliminate countless crimes which in turn would greatly reduce the amount of witnesses to those now non-existant crimes. The mere fact of being an illegal is criminal.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Police in suburban Scottsdale have begun routinely asking for proof of citizenship from every suspect they arrest and turning those who are in this country illegally over to federal immigration officials.

The procedure was started Oct. 15, a result of the September killing of Phoenix police officer Nick Erfle by an illegal immigrant,

About gosh darned time!!!
