He is also a protectionist. Protectionism will only make the US and it´s allies weaker.

I forgot that Fred is, unlike Huck a free trader wich is a good thing in my books, although I understand that in national security issues some things should be excempted. But such issues should not be used as an excuse for Protectionism like Hunter does. Or for supporting US farmers as the energy independence rethoric does (and sadly Fred has jumped on board that wagon, but it´s seems to be the only politically viable thing given the electoral strenght of the rural America).

Merry Christmas all!!

Red China is a protectionist country.

Duncan Hunter will bring back high-paying jobs to our country which we lost because of bad trade deals with Red China and the rest of the world and cheating by Red China.

While Duncan Hunter voted No for Most Favored Trade Status with Red China, he voted Yay for trade with Australia, because it was in our county’s best interests.

I generally agree with you, European FRiend, but if I may educate you on one point: Duncan Hunter isn't a protectionist, he merely (and properly) thinks it is dumb to flush your critical manufacturing base to places that don't share the same freedoms, values, and standards, and that even arm your enemies.

There are a great many places where I'm sure Duncan Hunter would love for the US to trade with, including your beautiful Iceland. Icelandinc Vodka for Chevys sounds good to me....

Merry Christmas all!!

Merry Christmas back at you! And you have a great home page, too.

Tell me - are Icelandic women all that they're cracked up to be? I might need to make a ski trip the FR Iceland chapter if so....

(And how is the skiing there, by the way?)
