"Now, what to gangs form around? Mostly, it's the drug business."So? This wasn't about drugs. It was about a violent gangbanger with guns in the house.
Look. I know you're all excited about no-knocks and wrong houses and drugs. Just be patient and I'm sure that within the next month or two someone will post an article concerning all three (and, we can only hope, a gunned-down dog).
THEN you can get all indignant and self-righteous. Until then, cool your jets.

LOL! No, it wasn't. It was about an innocent family terrorized by the police.

Gangbanger with guns in the house, okay that justifies a SWAT assault? At least half the households in America have a gun in the house. We celebrate that around here usually. No knock raids create violence, when people shoot back, because they are terrified. No knock raids came about, because of the war on drugs. Police would knock on the door, perps would flush their stash down the toilet destroying the evidence. Therefore, the police want to do no knock raids. 20 years later, here we are with no knock, SWAT team raids, because a guy is allegedly hitting his girlfriend (who's probably a psycho, see above).
That is my case for the origin of no knock raids.

THEN you can get all indignant and self-righteous A 2006 study by the Cato Institute concluded: "Because of shoddy police work, over-reliance on informants, and other problems, each year hundreds of raids are conducted on the wrong addresses, bringing unnecessary terror and frightening confrontation to people never suspected of a crime."
I think this is sufficient reason to be self-righteous and indignant. You think this is what the Founders had in mind for this nation? Your tax dollars at work.
