We should invade ANWAR for the oil, eastern Utah and western Colorado for the oil shale and seize the lower 2/3 of Illinois, for that much of the state literally floats on a bed of coal. In fact, the US has twice the hydrocarbons in the form of oil, gas, coal and shales than Arab OPEC has in the form of oil and gas.

I was under the impression that Cartels and Monopolies were against the law. Didn’t the U.S break up Standard oil back in the old days.
