Merry Christmas to our troops everywhere!
BOR looses. God Bless the Troops, next time get Laura Ingraham over there and I will definately tune in.
Love the troops, can’t stand O’Reilly. Just wait, it will be all about Bill. No thanks.
BOR’s pics of himself in Afghanistan on his website make him look very aloof and pompous with the troops.
Do yourself - and the troops a favor - WATCH.
This isn't about O'Reilly. It's about our troops - and O'R is one of the FEW - and a STANCH - supporter of our all but forgotten troops in Afghanistan.
Put your predjudice, well-founded or not, in your back pocket. There are small pockets of troops in isolated, hellish, areas of Afghanistan that have, this year, been under heavier attack and losses than since the first week of the war.
If they feel a bit forgotten, with 98% of the attention going to Iraq, it is justified. And those who wont watch because they don't like the messenger are doing them a great disservice. (If O'Reilly were going to Afghanistan to see for himself, and to let the troops know he's behind them ---- Oh, I forgot. He DID.
If he said he were going back to get much needed gear and such to the troops all but cut off and being shot at and mortared day and night, and asked for contributions, would you refuse to give because "O Reilly" was taking it?
This isn't about O'Reilly - and at least he isn't ignoring them like the major percentage of the media, Washington, and even the military is.
Let's credit where credit is due - and let's give support where it's due - to our troops.
These troops in the links below are in one of the bitterest winter climates in the world - goes to minus 40 = in the Hindu Kish mountain range in northeastern Afghanistan, in the Kunar Province - and this small band of Troops don't have warm buildings, hot meals or running water...and in just the first 6 months of deployment were in some 450 firefights - no, that is NOT a typo.
Go the web site for the 173rd Airborne and watch the short video clips and then to the link for the magazine article on them...if you can stand it.

and or, get the current issue of Vanity Fair
It's about out troops - WATCH O'Reilly, one of the few that is even recognizing our troops!
Who comes first? BOR or our troops?
