Jeb Bush to arrive in Israel for private visit
Jerusalem Post ^

Two weeks before US President George W. Bush is scheduled to arrive on his first visit to Israel as President, his younger brother Jeb Bush is scheduled to arrive Monday for a private visit.

Bush, the former governor of Florida, will be accompanied by his wife and children, and will travel around the country, including visits to Massada, Nazareth and a tour of the northern border with Deputy Chief of General Staff. Maj.-Gen. Dan Harel.

Bush is scheduled to meet Monday with Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik and a number of Knesset members.

Christmas in Jerusalem for Governor Jeb Bush of Florida.

If the Republican nomination becomes deadlocked, it won't be surprising to see Jeb Bush drafted as the GOP nominee for President. He is keeping his powder dry for now.

Why Jeb is in Israel, one can only wonder.
There is certainly a reason and its not tourism.

Given recent history, I am not reassured by this.

Sure. Until 2016

Hmmmmmmm

This is very, very curious. VERY curious. President Bush is visiting in a couple of weeks, as his first visit there... and Jeb is going in “first”?

And the Israelis are “prepping” the population for a just-in-case set of scenarios... and a report just came out about Israel’s ability to survive a nuclear war.

CURIOUS.

“There is a well-authenticated anecdote of Cromwell. On a certain occasion, when his troops were about crossing a river to attack the enemy, he concluded an address, couched in the usual fanatic terms in use among them, with these words - ‘put your trust in God; but mind to keep your powder dry’.”

We need another Bush in the White House like we need another Clinton there. Are there only two families out of 300 million people capable of becoming President of the United States?

All of the Republican candidates for President this time around are deeply flawed.

The front-runner only has about 20 percent popularity. How do you go from 20 percent to 50 percent? (Giuliani and Huckabee are the present front-runners.)

It is becoming increasingly probably that the convention will be stalemated in Minneapolis. Jeb Bush could just waltz to the nomination in this scenario. Who else is out there?

Nobody could just “waltz” to the nomination in that event, and just dreaming it isn’t going to make it happen.

In that case, one of the current crop would be nominated by intense dealing among the delegate body, who after all, are not bound by their state voter’s choices, except in one or two states, that is.

That would be a cluster***k of the first magnitude.

Jeb Bush would be by far the best President compared to any of those currently declared. This is a case of him being discounted because his name is Bush. Smaller government, lower taxes, a strong national defense a with never tiring campaign against the terrorists is what we would get. Besides, Jeb is a true good person. Jeb in '08 would be the best!

Does Jeb Bush even figure in with a popularity rating?

"If the Republican nomination becomes deadlocked, it won't be surprising to see Jeb Bush drafted as the GOP nominee for President. He is keeping his powder dry for now."

With already a father and son having served as US presidents, it would be hard for Jeb to overcome the family dynasty concerns critics would bring up. Jeb may be nothing like his father or his brother, but it would still be an uphill battle for him to run for President in 2008 becasue of the perceptions most would have of him based on his family. Now in 2016 he just might have a shot.

Ohmert is a coward. He’s a craven pig. He would rather harass settlers than fight Arabs. Jebby is probably there to tell the Israelis to give up Jerusalem, or some such rot. That’s all they get out of the Bush Administration.

Tony Blair just converted to Roman Catholicism. Could it be Jeb is converting to Judaism? ;-)

Well, that's your opinion perhaps, perhaps others' have the same opinion.

I don't think that matters too much though. Israel's government isn't it's PM.

Is it the candidates that aren't appealing or is it their message? Perhaps the American people are finally waking up and seeing that the message they are being served is the same 'shit on a shingle' by different servers (candidates).

Maybe, just maybe the public will demand a new menu. I sure as he!! hope so.
