The Arrogance Of Hillary ~ predicted .. that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.

I am continually amazed by the naivety of people who vote Democrat.  They listen to a women like Hillary say this:

Hillary Clinton predicted Saturday that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.

When the world hears her commitment at her inauguration about ending American dependence on foreign fuel, Clinton says, oil-pumping countries will lower prices to stifle America's incentive to develop alternative energy.

"I predict to you, the oil-producing countries will drop the price of oil," Clinton said, speaking at the Manchester YWCA. "They will once again assume, once the cost pressure is off, Americans and our political process will recede."
And somehow, someway, they believe her.  They believed Nancy when she said this last May:
“This Congress, under the Democratic leadership, is working to make up for years of inaction, taking America in a new direction that helps bring down the cost of gas and promotes energy independence.  Energy independence is essential to reducing the price at the pump.

“In the first 100 hours of the new Congress, the House passed legislation to roll back $14 billion in subsidies for Big Oil, when Big Oil was already enjoying record profits.  Our proposal reinvests that money at home in clean alternative fuels, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

~~~
“A number of House committees are taking action, holding hearings over the next few weeks to take a comprehensive look at how we can fight price gouging; the development of clean alternative fuels; the impact our dependence on foreign oil has on our economy; and how we can put new technologies to use to achieve greater energy efficiency
Remember when John Edwards promised that if he and John Kerry were elected, the blind would see and the paralyzed would walk? Democrats lie without constraint because neither the MSM nor their constituents hold them to account.
RATS always appeal to the stupidest common denominator with promises of handouts, free everything, help running their lives, and revenge on their betters.
Hillary Clinton predicted Saturday that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.
She's right. We'll go into recession, quickly followed by Japan, China and Europe. We'll have cheaper oil and massive unemployment.
In other news, scientists have determined that the best move to win at “Rock, Scissors, Paper” is playing Scissors. As soon as the news went out, people started playing Rock in anticipation. Therefore, playing Paper is the way to go.
Alright, seriously, if the Hildebeast thinks she can anticipate speculation at that level, probably she’s not the strategic genious we thought she was.
Or, maybe, that’s exactly what she wants us to believe...
Perhaps the price of oil will drop — just in time for it to be doubled by the addition of carbon taxes.
If she wins, this nation will probably outlaw cars in favor of the horse and buggy. So maybe the price of oil will drop. Unfortunately we’ll be denied access to it in our green, socialist society.
Except that Hillary's only "plan" would be to increase taxes.
I suppose that would wreck the economy enough to reduce demand for oil, so in that sense, she's got a point.
You sir are exactly correct!
If elected. The first hundred days will see a massive incomes tax increase which will kick this already unstable economy over the edge. We will see a market sell off like nothing ever seen before. Interest rates will have to go up as tha value of the dollar will collapse beyound what it has already dropped. The banks wont be able to call in notes as the value of those notes are worthless and there isnt anyone to buy them-which is happeneing now because the banks are groveling at the feet of anyone they can find to help them finance poor debt.
We will enter a depression that will make the last one look like a doll show because after inflation, prices will begin to fall because of the above. Heck we might even have another Wiemar (sic) republic on our hands. A bushel of cash to buy one loaf of bread...and I aint kidding when I say that because that actually happened.
I have no doubt that Hillary could reduce the price of oil to $40 a barrell for a few days with price controls. Of course, there would be a terrible shortage, and if it lasted for any appreciable length of time, there would be an economic collapse.
A. What is your plan Hillary?
B. If your plan fails, what is your backup plan?
