I remember Gen Yeager coming to my dad’s work station several times. My father was an USAF aircraft mechanic and taught hydraulics and egress systems. During the Viet Nam war was the Chief that re certified the F105s as flight worthy after they were repaired. Dad had great respect for Gen LeMay and Gen Yeager. The only cross dressing Yeager would have done was when he donned civilian clothes.
