I simply shall not vote for a non-Conservative. If I wanted a Liberal, I would vote Democrat.

I would’nt worry too much about losing gun rights. The 2nd amendment is pretty explicit. You may get some LOCAL laws on restricting guns but nothing on national level is possible.

What we don’t need is more appointees on SCOTUS such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a Clinton appointee. Even Huckabee (currently at bottom of my list of repubs) will not appoint another Ginsburg.

Abortions are another story. Reagan was the most conservative president during my time and close to a million abortions took place during his tenure. So it won’t matter who is the next president. Abortions will continue as established law. I am atleast glad the republicans were successful in putting restriction on late term abortions. Those are murder-1 in my book.

But if you don’t vote, in effect you have voted for a liberal democrat since your vote did not neutralize a democratic vote.

If you would rather have Hillary or Barack in the WH over Rudy, Mitt or Huck, then by all means stay home.

Won’t stay home. There will be other races where I can cast a meaningful vote.

I want a President who will defend America against radical Muslim maniacs.

None of the democrats will. Probably Paul and Huckabee woudn’t.

I trust the other top Republicans, Thompson, McCain, Romney and Giuliani will. So I can support one of them, and by my primary Feb. 5th I will decide.

Third party is out of the question-wasted vote. Remember the Perot protest? John Anderson? George Wallace? Pat Buchanan? Ralph Nader? Harry Browne (who blamed America for 9/11/2001)? No thanks.

For rational people it comes down to two parties, and the Republican is always preferable to the democrat. Even if the Republican is not perfect.

Ronald Reagan is not going to be reincarnated any time soon.

“You mean like George H.W. Bush from Connecticut, his Vice President pick? /sarc”

Right. Why do you think he lost his 2nd time? The no new taxes bs was only part of that.

He pissed off the NRA and gun owners just before the election!

Exactly. I will vote for the Pub nominee. Anyone on our side is better than the socialist pacifists on their side. Rudy is not Hil. Nor is Mitt. Nor is Fred or even John. And I will be protected by our guys not theirs. You can bet, if you look at history, that the lefties will gather together to support their nominee. Pubs must learn to do the same or suffer huge losses in the House and Senate and losing the ability to nominate jurists on into 2012-2016. The Pub Purists one issue voters wake up or the really bad pukes, to quote with care one poster, will be in power for a generation.

All true. All correct. Thompson, McCain, Giuliani and Romney are all significantly better than the democrat big three.

All four would definitely be better on national defense, taxes, appointing SC justices. Probably better on immigration.

<<>> So true. If we are dead via another 911 style attack, nothing else will matter. Not Hillary, Not Barack, and not Johnny will protect us. They will do what BJ Clinton did..treat it as a police law enforcement action. I am getting tired of these one issue purist republicans. They will go to their grave waiting for the "pure" leader.
