This is the famous University of Iowa's poll based on people actually putting their money down on a winner.

The chart is a tad difficult to distinguish between green and blue lines, but on closer look the green line is currently at the top.

I understand this U of Iowa poll has a very long track record of accuracy. My guess is when people actually put their money on their bet, they are more likely to be very serious about their choice.

Interesting. Unless my eyes are failing to accurately discriminate between light blue and green, the chart appears to show Romney inching ahead of Giuliani for first place.

To me it looks as if Mitt Romney is marching right there at the top next to Rudy and Martin Luther King.

More surprising (to me) is Huckabee's slide over the past month when his "surge" has been taking place everywhere else.

Apparently, the "money" isn't sold on Huck.

And look at Fred's numbers from July. I had forgotten how strong he was back then.

Hmm. Looks like Fred hasn’t gained any ground since the debate show of hands and the start of his campaign in Iowa.

Nope, there I see Mitt at the top of the poll, marching to the left of Rudy and of course with an abortion doctor, some guy screaming about socialized medicine and then Martin Luther King is to the right of Mitt.

In the end, we are all republicans. This is primary season and it is perfectly OK to pull for your candidate. But do not overlook pres Reagan’s 11th commandment...Thou shall not speak ill about a fellow republican.

-Well— I am not a single issue voter. I add up their stance on ALL issues. Especially what affects my life the most—>
TAXES!!! Then I look at the democrats and there is no doubt my vote will go even to the republican at the bottom of my list.

Life is never pure or perfect. It is a series of compromises. The purists will go to their grave waiting.
