“So, could you enumerate the policy areas and positions that Mr. Hinckley will influence President Romney to take? Maybe this influence would not be a bad thing.”
If you are really curious, them I suggest you study mormon teachings going all the way back to Joseph Smith.
Bottom line is that I don’t think the average American would like american policy to be influenced by a mormon “prophet and seer.” I know a great many don’t want a former Baptist preacher (AKA Mike Huckabee) to lead because they know his Baptist beliefs define him. I’m certain that even more would oppose a mormon if they were familiar with all the “different” theology and practices of mormons. Of course, the mormons on this forum want him for those very reasons - he is one of them. Of course - the same can be said for evangelicals like myself wanting Huckabee - he is one of us. I’m trying to be fair here.
I would encourage persons that are interested to study the differences between the two. Especially examine the unabridged life of Joseph Smith the founder of mormonism. He was, to say the least, a remarkable character. In many ways he was the David Koresh of the 19th Century.
That is just so much BS. On top of that you still did not answer the question.
