Ourageous. I hope the locals kick up enough of a fuss. Why don’t they honestly move over to Saudi Arabia if they want that sort of thing. WE the British people certainly don’t.

Right, I’ll be off to our midnight service now.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas!

You’re so lucky! The midnight Masses in Chester have been cancelled, due to unruly drunken hoodie yobs! I could have gone to one tonight way across town (not that its that big) at 9:00, but I’d already cracked open the wine and wasn’t going to go alone. My only other Catholic friend (who is Irish) lives too far away to get the bus as they stop service and taxis double their rates on Christmas and New Year’s Eve...and they wonder why the rates of drink-driving have increased exponentially over the Holidays! I know that in New Orleans and Houston the cab service is free if you call them and slur enough, as they’d rather compensate the cabbies with taxpayer money than have to deal with the cost of scraping folks off the pavement...it is cheaper in the long run. What do they not do that in England? Oh, that’s right, its cost effective...Double the rates, which pretty much guarantees that people are gonna drive drunk, I mean that is such Crap! Anyway, again, wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!
