I went to Wal-Mart today and left the car unlocked, the keys in the ignition and my XM radio in plain sight. I’m glad I still live in a place where I can do that.

I've been to the Huntsville Wal*Mart, near Madison, more than once and I assure you, Madison, just west of Huntsville, would seem to be that kind of place.

Well, I used to live in a place where we did that. One day a guy from out of town came through, picked up a friend’s car, and took it down the road. We locals were a pretty safe/ sane bunch, and it was a small town, but it only took one criminal (and a growing awareness of Original Sin) to change my mind for good.

I’m glad I still live in a place where I can do that. ===================== Crime has no border or boundry. You "can do that" until you become a victim. Rural areas and small towns unfortunately are not exempt. But, good luck, I hope you continue to avoid exposure to a crime that could change your life forever.
