Matthew Baum has argued in Soft News Goes to War that a large share of Americans get their information about world politics from “soft-news” outlets like Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, SportsCenter, The View, People, US Weekly, Vanity Fair, Vogue, The Daily Show, The Tonight Show, or Gawker, TMZ and PerezHilton.

These are about what, 99% socialist/liberal?

The idea that someone who lies for a living (actors) or sings or plays a musical instrument is knowledgeable about anything is preposterous. Every time I encounter one of these "intellects" spouting off on a Leftist cause I put them on my no watch/listen list.

Michael Jordan is absolutely right.
