"I'm happy working with Chinese people," Hani Ali, who has become a staff member of the Egypt Branch of China's ZTE Corporation for about two and a half years, told Xinhua in a recent telephone interview when asked how about his job.

"My Chinese colleagues are very nice and I like my job at the Chinese company," Ali said.

Ali has some 50 compatriots working for the Egypt Branch of ZTE Corporation, one of China's leading providers of telecommunication equipment and network solutions, due to a successful ZTE strategy of localization for its employees.

General manager of ZTE's Egypt Branch Sha Yanju told Xinhua that "We have more Egyptian employees than Chinese here," adding that "more than 53 percent."

The Chinese will swarm forth from their homeland in a new colonialism, taking charge of the countries rich in resources and relatively lacking in sophisticated governance, much like the European powers did in the latter half of the 19th Century and early part of the 20th Century.

Only this time, these backward countries will learn the meaning of REAL exploitation. The Chinese will leave behind no such adornments as a self-governing nation-state, or institute any more of a financial base than the Spanish conquistadores did in Latin America, where they simply robbed the natives and shipped all the booty back to Spain.

It may take until 2080 or even well into the 22nd Century, for the coming conflict between the Chinese and the Islamic cultures to come to some sort of resolution. And Islamic would stand to come out second-best, because the Chinese have embraced advancing technology, while the Islamic lands only can copy and exploit the knowledge of others, but not innovate.

Oh, yeah, and the Chinese genetic imprint will be upon much of the rest of the world, as all these young males they are exporting will have to have SOME outlet.

I thought globalism and free trade will make China become Americans. Too many males, no problemo, import CA education and teach them an alternative way to relieve the male sexual gratification (Hollywood style sodomy, taught in the schools, certified by the courts and enforced in movies). Free trade will turn all those excess Chinese males into happy gay men, because free trade make everyone into free loving tolerant Americans. (sarcasm)

Ah, the "Black Legend" promoted by the English still persists. The fact that Latin America still has a large Indian population, while the racially mixed population had to be recognized/baptized while the Brits merely murdered and classified their mixed offspring as second class subjects never quite enters into the English mind.

The Spanish, Portuguese, and French were much more enlightened (although far from perfect) compared to the Brits, particularly on the issue of race. I will give the Poms points for introducing their legal system to India, the Carribbean, etc.
