I know you all think this is unimportant..but it's not. It's happening all over the media that young people listen to. And contrary to what you all think, some of them do, and will, vote.

It's been drummed into the youth that being a Republican is EVIL...that Republicans are mean hypocritical religious zealots. However, being a Democrat is cool. That's not important you say? Wait until election day.

We are bombarded every day with anti-Republican messages in the least likely places. It will have an impact.

Republicans can't realistically counteract the first part because it is far too true. And arguing the point is a waste of energy. But the second part they could do a lot about. They could make being a Democrat look like being the worst kind of lazy, thieving, spoiled brat...if certain politicians would give up the idea that adhering to the "courtly manners" of a bygone era is the way debate should be conducted in the modern media public arena.
