I’m inclined to be a bit more ecumenical.

God rest you merry, Genflefolk
Let nothing you dismay
Let’s throw aside our politics
If only for one day
Let’s carve the ham and share the gifts
And let the children play

Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and Joy
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

In dining rooms and living rooms
Are presents, feasts and glee
And sugar-besot children
Are running far and wee
But this, this humble gathering
Trumps any Homily

Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and Joy
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

I hope that on this Christmas day
Your home is warm and mild
And if you’re missing someone far
You can be reconciled
If you look for the smile of God
See the smile of a child

Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and Joy
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Merry Christmas to all.

No one who hasn’t seen and chuckled at the original South Park version will even begin to like or appreciate this.

Either you get it or you don’t, but it’s all in good fun.
